Grace Ma is an active entrepreneur, investor and advisor to various companies across industries, with a demonstrated history in the agriculture and foods sectors.
Previously she’s worked with Cargill Leadership Team in the development and execution of strategic partnership programs with Chinese policy-makers and private sectors on food security, food safety and sustainability for more than a decade.
Grace Ma was elected member of CPPCC of Jing’an District, Shanghai in 2016 representing economic category. She advises and works closely with the government on PPP projects and projects that promotes progression of society and enrichment of community. Grace is actively involved in the technology/lots ecosystem being the mentor of SMU IIE and International Judging Panellist of LKY Global Business Plan Competition. She’s cofounded and operated Verdura, a Shanghai-based agritech company to support local farmers since 2013; She recently also cofounded MPW Technologies International, an integrated cleantech and agritech start-up that addresses the global food and energy security challenges through technology innovations while reducing carbon emission dramatically.
Grace received dual B.S. degrees in Business Administration and English (Commerce&Finance) from Shanghai Jiaotong University in 2001 and she is fluent in English and Mandarin with basic understanding of Japanese and French.
Dr. Wang brings 13+ years’ experience in solar industry both for R&D and Operations. He has a proven track record of taking lab innovations into real life.
Dr. Wang previously worked with Solaria where he led the effort to develop two flagship products. He also commercialized Solaria’s well-known shingling module technology into PowerXT® as the SVP of Global Supply Chain Management and successfully grew the revenue of Solaria 30 times in a 3-year span. On top of PowerXT®, Prior to Solaria, Dr. Wang worked for Silicon Genesis Inc. on super-thin (thickness <50um) c-Si wafer towards solar cell application. He is the scientist to working with GIT Excellence in Photovoltaics (UCEP) National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL), et al to develop the process of making solar cell on 40-um thin c-Si wafers.
Dr. Wang received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from University of Notre Dame in 2008 and a B.S. in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2001.
Professor Wei has presided over and participated in more than 20 national scientific research projects in Intelligent greenhouse, such as "greenhouse vegetable intelligent production system research and development", participated in more than 10 national and industrial standards for greenhouse engineering and equipment, such as " Code for the design load of horticultural greenhouse structures ", and published more than 30 scientific papers, including more than 9 SCI/EI papers, and 5 books in the fields of Intelligent greenhouse innovation.
Professor WEI is a member of Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences and National Engineering Research Center for Information Technology in Agriculture.
Mr. Wang is Co-founding Partner of Hosen Capital, overseeing Hosen’s strategic development and execution of key investment activities. He serves as Vice Chairman of New Hope Group and Vice Chairman of CMBC International.
Mr. Wang was formerly second–in–command with New Hope Group. Under his stewardship, New Hope Group grew its revenue from c.US$720 million to c.US$12 billion from 2004 to 2010. Previously, he was with People’s Bank of China (“PBOC”), and served as Chairman of XW Bank, Board Member of Union Trust & Investment, and Chairman of Sichuan South Hope Industrial Company.
Mr. Wang holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from Peking University. He also holds a lawyer's practice certificate in China.
